Speculation—The Rueters reporter is getting his info from a terror sympathizer.
I’m thinking the same, however the article doesn’t refers to the bridge bobing you mentioned, but to an attack on Yazidis near Mosul. This attack (including the details such as fuel tankers etc.) was reported by others aswell, however they all have casualty figures at aprox. 20 dead.
I concur that unless we get real confirmation Reuters is (again) using vastly exaggerated numbers.
It’s 12:55 am in Baghdad now so to get a report just now that 175 got killed 9 hours ago is pretty unusual.
When I saw 175 people killed in a neighborhood in Northern Iraq, I immediately had two questions come to mind.
1. How did a bomb kill 175 people in a neighborhood? Houses are too far apart for single blast, or even three for that matter, to kill so many. A market place maybe, but a neighborhood? I DON’T KNOW.
2. It seems too convenient that the number killed is 175 and 200 wounded. Why 175? It just smells fishy.
I could be wrong.
