Chris Matthews was apparently using this Reuters report as his source, quoting "initial reports" on "attacks by two suicide bombers"-

First Lieutenant Stephen Bomar, spokesman for the 25th Infantry Division, said initial reports suggested 30 people were killed and 60 wounded in attacks by two suicide bombers.

But other reports are claiming there were four suicide bombers. It's going to take a while to get this sorted out.

They read the reports, hear the Capitol scuttlebutt. They listen to Reid and Pelosi. They are perfectly aware of the politics. They know their time is limited. They are going to be stepping up the bombings, the atrocities, the kidnappings as much as they can. It is going to be very bloody—the bloodier the better.

They have been told their deadline; it is September 2007. They know they can count on the press to help them get their message out to the American people. There are many ‘Cronkites’ only too willing to say that all is lost.
