White House Criticizes Clinton Ad

The White House on Tuesday assailed Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton for criticizing President Bush in her latest television ad, calling her statements "outrageous."

The 60-second spot, which began running Tuesday in Iowa, intercuts scenes of the candidate interacting with voters and talking about challenges facing many working people.

"If you're a family that is struggling and you don't have health care, you are invisible to this president," the New York senator says in the ad. "If you're a single mom trying to find affordable child care so you can go to work, you're invisible too.

The ad also argued that U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan are "invisible" to Bush.

White House deputy press secretary Dana Perino initially declined to comment on the ad, but then lambasted the spot and the senator.

"As to the merits of it, I think it's outrageous. This is a president who, first and foremost, has helped millions of seniors across the country have access to prescription drugs at a much lower cost. ... As to whether or not our troops are invisible to this president, I think that is absurd and that it is unconscionable that a member of Congress would say such a thing."

This is pretty bad (although I haven’t seen the ad itself), the description is pretty bad.

Typical Clinton, accusing others of how she feels. Hillary and Bill hate our military...afterall, wasn’t it Hillary who recently voted to NOT fund our troops? And she claims the troops are invisible to President Bush.

What a pig; I hope this backfires big time.

I would like to know how visible the folks in the New Orleans ghetto were to President and Mrs. Clinton. The Lower 9th Ward was a gang-ridden, high crime area full of social pathologies on Jan 20, 1993, and was still that way on Jan 20, 2001, as Bill and Hill moved out of the White House.

So if they want to talk about invisible problems in America, we could bring up things like this. Bush allegedly neglected New Orleans and the minority residents. Well, there’s strong evidence that Bill and Hill never did anything for those people. Were they invisible to Bill and Hill? It’s worth investigating.

The RNC needs to put out an ad contradicting this ASAP. With pictures of Hillary on the floor of the Senate voting NO on funding for our troops. With her standing next to Murtha and Durbin, both of whom have slandered our troops on more than one occasion.

Hillary will say and do just about anything to get elected.

She only cares about her own power. I do not know why these idiots who support her can't see it. She does not care about anyone but herself.

Take a jab at GW for something Hillary does? Makes sense in the bizarro world and for the BDS crowd. Hillary is a fool for running such an ad because GW is not running for office again.

I like this WH spokesman, Dana Perino.

When I read an article about the WH responding harshly to a Dim, its usually Dana.

Hope she is hires on to a Republican Presidential campaign.

Very true...Hillary is out for Hillary only. For her to attack the President’s support for our troops is beyond outrage. she has stooped to a new low, even for her.

And the mainstream media talk about Karl Rove and blame all the negative ads on him...when we all know it was Billy Jeff (BJ) who started all this politics of personal destruction.

I do hope the RNC or other candidates immediately come out with their own ads against this witch (spelled with a b).

How I despise this woman.

So people are invisible in Hillary’s world view.

And Republicans ran the House of Reps. like a plantation.

And she grew up in a middle class family in the middle of America in the middle of the last century.

And John Edwards wants to fight poverty.

And Barack wants to bomb other countries suspected of harboring terrorists, but wouldn’t use nuclear weapons.

And why exactly is Joe Biden running for president?

I just want to keep all the Democrats straight to know who stands for what.
