But deal still must be sold to caucuses, Assembly leaders and governor.
SACRAMENTO Senate Republican Leader Dick Ackermans office is reporting that he and Senate Democrat Leader Don Perata have reached a tentative deal on the state budget.
According to the Irvine senators office, the two leaders have reached a tentative agreement that they will now share with members of their respective caucuses. Republicans are meeting now to discuss the plan, details of which are unknown.
*snip*
The deal whatever it is has to be agreed to by the two caucuses as well as members of the Assembly and the governor.
Assuming all parties agree to the deal, a budget vote could be held as early as today.

Theres still a long way to go. Both caucuses need to sign off on it, and then Fabio and the Assembly need to agree.
I was hoping this impasse would drag on a bit longer. If they reach a deal they’re going to try to ram additional legislation through in the time left and I for one and a bit worried. Talk is we’ll see a health care bill if the budget is passed.
