Who cares? Its irrelevant, and Mitt should be saying like Ronald Reagan would:
"There you go again, talking about my religious beliefs. Why don't you ask Mr. O'Bama, my fellow Irishman what his are, after being raised in an Islamic household during his youth. Or maybe you might as Mrs. Clinton what hers are? I know I am the first Mormon to run for the chief executive office of our nation, but the religious question is irrelevant. The real issue is our national security and our future as a beacon for social, economic, and political freedom within our country and for the world as a whole.
Because of my religion , perhaps I have the strength to assure our nations security, or perhaps that strength is because of my family, or perhaps it is because all of you have such wonderful 1st amendment rights as news people in a free nation. BUt it is that strength I bring to this office, regardless of where it originates.
That is how Mitt should address the question. And they would soon stop asking it. You can have Mitts people call me at home after Freepmailing me here , to be one of his speach writers, but a warning. Duncan has already made the call.
Great answer! I do, totally, agree it is off base for the media to ask him those questions about his faith. However, I’m also intrigued because most of those MSM reporters have so little regard for “faith”, but they seem morbidly obsessed by Mitt’s faith?! What gives? Someone really needs to tell them it is none of their business.
I'll bet you'd write a great speach..... 8~)
