There's a nice video at the publishers site. If someone knows how to transfer it to this thread, that would be nice.

Druids said the circle was sacred and should be left intact to preserve its mystical energies. That's really funny since the remains predate the historical Druids, with whom the modern-day variety only share a name.

“Druids said the circle was sacred and should be left intact to preserve its mystical energies.”
their political clout is limited these days, especially as the site would have decayed in pretty short order once it went above the surface for any amount of time.

A woman burst through and hurled herself, screaming, at the central stump, the day a digger tore it free from the peat. She was grappled to the sands as the tree was placed on a dumper truck and driven away across the beach. Oh brother, what a fruitcake

Sophisticated microscopy revealed one timber had marks from up to 50 bronze axes, each with its own signature. The nicks and grooves - which can be seen in the timbers - were the biggest revelation of all.
They showed that early Bronze Age society was more advanced than had previously been believed. The use of tools was widespread and people were capable of working together in large teams much earlier than had been thought. Has the idiot doing the microscopy ever hear of resharpening? I use a wood chipper at work with Steel blades (a much harder metal) the blades must be resharpened at least once per 40 hours of use.

It was an ancient Wal-mart and she was just protesting.
