How are smokers paying for MY healthcare?
Yeah, they die earlier WRT Social Security and medicare/medicade but it’s not your or my fault that we have those socialist programs, and while smokers may die earlier the ones who live longer use a LOT of resources.
Now, as to the tobacco taxes, you’ve got a point.
Although a ‘legalize everything’ libertarian (small L) Republican myself I’d vote for Ted in a heartbeat.
I mostly agree with Ted - he reaches a lot of kids with his statements and there is nothing wrong with sending an anti-gangsta or anti-MTV message.

Just like Porn - it’s your or my, or Ted’s right to say it’s bad for folks; and it;’s the RIGHT of the folks using it to tell Ted to ‘piss off’.
I don’t care what someone thinks about my lifestyle; if they want to make an issue of it they might have to have a discussion with Sam (Colt) first :-)

Most "kids" have no idea who Ted Nugent is or isn't. Ted is an entertainer (if you can call it entertainment) whose time has slipped away.
By paying billions of dollars in tax into healthcare that the rest of you dont.
And believe me smokers get none of those benefits. They are the first to be excluded from the benefits of healthcare.

The woman is depicted naked, tied up, with a grenade shoved into her mouth. Real classy. Not exactly the kind of values I care about.
What is this guy’s message anyway? Horrific violence against others? That’s what the terrorists preach. He seems to be no different.

Yes, it is the taxpayers business because they are the ones forced to pay. Check the CDC stats on unhealthy lifestyle costs like IV drug use, homo behavior, alcoholism, etc. The rest of us are forced to pay the price at the point of a gun. If not for forced extraction of the fruits of my efforts, then fine, it is none of my business, but that ain’t reality kid.

I don't think Ted would legislate that you stop smoking. He would just legislate that the government ain't gonna pay for your emphysema.
Every word of that essay was true.
As he said, it was just a start. No, he didn't say anything about porn - obviously your pet peeve. But he didn't mention abortion either - and he mentions guns about 20 times.
So, we all have our little personal peeves - but you can't expect him to cover them all.
