This whole thing is much worse than Valerie Plame, who had been declassified for over 5 years anyway (classifications never stops NYTs from spilling US secrets tho - does it).
What’s crazy-making is the Paws - Hsu situation will just go away - like Sandy Burgler, FBI filegate, Juanita’s claims, etc.
I was at a meeting at my college (typically - full of leftists) yesterday. All the jokes were about Men’s bathroom conduct etc.
Not 1 joke about lime-green clown houses full of dirty cash.
That’s what college “education” is today - RAT re-education camps.
I am doing my part to counter this outrageous situation, EVERY SEMESTER, at my campus — and I’ve got TENURE now.
heh heh.
:)
It is precisely BECAUSE we have hit pay dirt that the lib media is obsessing over the queer. (I’m sure you know that but thought I would expand on your observation for the benefit of others.)
Also, expect the media to “break” a story any minute now about how some republican has accepted campaign cash under questionable circumstances. The conclusion will be, “See, they all do it. Hitlary is just one more candidate too busy to vet every contributor.”
BTW, we always criticize the media around here. I think this is a ime we should thank them. The L.A. Times has been doing great work so afr.
I wouldn’t to that far. They do cover bad stuff that happens to dims, but ONLY when the facts become SO overwhelming they cannot afford to ignore them without looking totally stupid — even to liberals.

Good prediction. Fine. Let 'em. We collect the quotes of outrage from the Ds and keep them til oh, say Sept 2008...sadly, the only time this Chinese money laundering scandal will really have an impact.
I applaud the WSJ and LATimes for going after the story. It's big, it's important, and it should trump 99% of the current headlines. But the timing is unfortunate. It totally plays into the hands of the dirty pols who can rely on the attention deficit disorders of their blindly loyal and ignorant constituents. Come November 2008, the old news card will be played successfully.
I can't help but wonder what things would look like in Aug. of '08 if Hsu had thought no one was onto him. How many more donations, how many more pols, how many more public praises and paradings would the generous Hsu have accumulated? Now, the Democrats can put more than a year's distance between themselves and the dirty money....which they long ago "donated to charity."
BUMP
“One wonders just why this con artist/fugitive would feel so safe in returning to the country [in 1996]?”
One can only hope that he’s merely a con artist — in which case, it’s simply a matter of like attracting like, or perhaps even a case of professional courtesy. But what if he’s the cutout/front man for something much, much worse?
Oh, I’m pretty sure it’s the “much worse” category. The con artist part is what made him so attractive and useful to his handlers.
a) 50%
I think you are right. I think that the Dems will still vote for her. It doesn’t matter to them.
Yep. Sad to say.
