WOW... that’s horrid !!
Whoever said that should be FIRED !!
Yeeesh....
bump!
If Plutarch asks, being ever so polite: "If Freddy isn't Unready, then please set me straight. What has he been ready for?", then that is bad, because it outrages Clara Lou that: "...the rest of us have to meet your demand for 'explanations.'"
But if Clara Lou asks "Did you have any other criticism, perhaps a bit more on point?", than that is good, because she is merely demurely "asking this question."
I know you can READ.
Indeed. And what I read from this is the Clara Lou raven chides Plutarch's blackness.
Yes—isn’t it something? It’s amazing the distinction that English-speakers draw between the meaning of “ask” and “demand.” The former is generally regarded as polite and non-agressive, the latter carrying a tone of assertiveness and authoritarianism. People almost always are more willing to respond to a question than they are to respond to a demand.
In their native language of Willardian, there probably isn’t any distinction between ‘ask’ and ‘demand’, so one can see why they might confuse the two.
Willard's breathtaking, sculpted beauty COMPELS your obeisance, donchaknow.
He's so dreamy. Isn't that enough?
I am sure you realize we have a good man now in GW Bush!
Is that a typo? Didn’t you mean 6’3”, not 5’3” ?
I believe Nixon was 5’11” or so.
You have a decent point when you say Calling the recent series of candidate infomercials debates is like calling Chezwiz gourmet food.
I will say that I did gain some valuable insight on many of the candidates from the debates I saw, however.
For example, Mike Huckabee genuinely distinguished himself, and elevated himself to at least a Veep contender.
Mitt and Rudy comported themselves well at times (with a few oopses, of course, but we learn from those as well.)
McCain didn't really impress me (although one might wonder what a Democrat is doing at a GOP debate.)
And so forth.
My point is, that this is a crucial primary, and we need to know our potential candidate as well as we can before deciding who will challenge Hillary Rodham.
Tactics aside, I would like to know more about Fred; and,I believe I can learn more if he would take part in the debates: Furthermore, I tend (tend) to suspect something's awry when he chooses not to debate.
That said, I'm entirely prepared to be a hugh Fred fan.
I just need to see him in action, and I'm sure that other conservatives (and even moderates) have similar feelings.
Yeah, it’s not a big deal. I don’t sweat the small stuff. I’ve been called far worse. And I’ll take “honey” or “sugar” any day over “Bless your heart” ;-)
And when I go to the South I love to hear it. I am so tired of politically correct tight asses just looking for a sexual harassment I need duct tape so my head won't explode.
As long as the South continues to do so, I will gladly spend my vacation dollars and long to retire there.
Think "Sweet Southern Comfort" by Buddy Jewell.
************
Amen. What do they want Fred to call them? It's a crowd, and he doesn't know their names. I can think of a few words he could use, but I won't say them here.
I will be voting for Obama in the Primary. Tenn, is an open primary state and Fred will take it easily. I’m going to stick it to Hillary in my own small way.
The fear is palpable, almost chewable.
I remember being totally shocked at how small Nixon was because I always think of famous people being larger than life.
I walked face to face into Whoopie Goldberg in a crowded Las Vegas casino and she too is very short.
I am glad Fred Thompson is 6’6”! LOL!
LOL! I have done that same thing in Texas primaries in the past, vote for the worst dem. Don’t know about this time.
