Not a good example on the author’s part. His character nearly got the President killed in “In the Line of Fire”.

That was O.K., though. Remember, it was the 90's. I recall a similar response during the movie 'Indepedence Day" (I think) where Will Smith battled an alien invasion. The premier audience I sat in cheered when the White House was vaporized. Klintigula wasn't too popular then...
