Huckabee calls Paul’s debate comments ‘ludicrous’
The Hill ^ | September 06, 2007 | Sam Youngman

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) on Thursday blasted Rep. Ron Paul’s (R-Texas) comments about Sept. 11, 2001, in Wednesday night’s debate, offering a second round of harsh criticism of what appears to be Paul’s go-to line.

“He really lit my fuse when he continued to assert that it was our fault we were attacked on Sept. 11,” Huckabee told reporters.

I see ol' Mike Huckabee is doing everything he can to milk this one for more attention for his nothing campaign. Between calling for a national smoking ban and saying that Hispanics Offer U.S. 'Second Chance' to make up for past racism by the way it handles the influx of illegal Hispanic immigrants, Huckabee may be the worst candidate outside of Giuliani and McCain.

I’m not a fan of Rudy for president. The same applies to McCain. Huckabee has appealed to me, but I’m willing to take a hard look at his immigration stance. If I disagree with it he’s toast.

I will tell you that some of Paul’s responses sounded brilliant last night, until he added one sentence too many on a number of occassions.

There’s not a prayer of a chance I’d vote for him.

Corrected above for you.

Paul’s debate comments were ludicrous. Almost everything coming out of Paul’s mouth is ludicrous. Huckabee had it right. What’s you problem with that?

Huckabee was right. Ron Paul is totally wacko.

Blame america.

Blame the troops.

Blame the Republicans.

Just don’t blame the terrorists!

His kooky supporters believe this is a winning strategy. I beg to differ.

“Even if we lose elections, we should not lose our honor” - Mike Huckabee

I’m not even a big Huck fan, but cmon, Ron Paul clearly got owned.

His supporters at DemocratUnderground may have spammed the polls, but people with common sense know who the real winner was.

I didn’t much care for the way he repeatedly said “we broke” Iraq.

Brother please...

Ron Paul is a joke! Stop being intellectually dishonest. You know full well he is a flake.

And this little coterie of supposed FReepers who waste everyone else’s time with his gibberish need to get a grip. Nobody is buying his shtick.

The guy is a poser and a phony.

Trying to hype people into casting masturbatory votes [whole lot of work that accomplishes nothing] for him is laughable. You dummies should be embarrassed.

Your comment about Paul's comments being brilliant until he adds one sentence too many applies to almost all the nuts in history. Just listen to a Farrakhan speech: he talks about self-help, abstinance, avoiding drugs . . . and the WHITE DEVILS AND THE NUMBER 19.

Or is it 18? And Blue Devils? Wait, that's Duke.

Some observations from last night’s debate;

Ron Paul is a certifiable loon and how any FReeper can support him with a straight face is way beyond me.

I like Tancredo, but there can be no doubt that he’s a one issue candidate.

Rudy is a blowhard and New Yorkers can have him back. We don’t want him here in the Midwest. Give him a job at Fox, maybe replacing Colmes. Hell, Hannity has him on every other night, that is, when he’s not talking to Al Sharpton.

Mitt’s middle name is RINO.

Huckabee doesn’t have a clue.

McCain blew it with his support of “immigration reform,” and he can talk all he wants about terrorists and the WOT, but he’ll soon dry up and blow away.

I was impressed with Hunter but he hardly got any questions.

And oh yes; Ron Paul is a certifiable loon.

Paul’s debate comments were ludicrous.

What, did Ron Paul call for a national smoking ban?

Thank you. Paul is, I think, a plant by the Dems to make traditional Americans to think that the GOP is so crazy that you can’t take any of them seriously.

Huckabee's statement that since we "broke" Iraq, we have a duty to "fix" it wasn't too bright either.

We didn't break Iraq.

No, we saved Iraq from a totalitarian monster and we now have a moral duty to ensure that the life that we saved is a life that was worth saving.

Except for Ron Paul.

Iraq was ‘broken’ long before America liberated the Iraqi people, thanks to Saddam Hussein and the failure of GHWB to press on to Baghdad in Gulf War I.

He also will receive at least twice as many votes as Paul in the primaries.

I know for a fact that DUmmies have trolled over here as Loserdopians trying to prop up this nitwit.

And every simple minded, excuse making, truth & authority hating, weed smoking loafers over here...buys into it.

Thank God they are such an overwhelmingly small minority.

Bunch of friggin, no bathing wierdos.
