Is there on in Utah or are they referring to the one in Yosemite National Park?

I understand who she is, I just was trying to verify where they found her.

So is there a Bridal Vail Falls near Salt Lake City?

I wonder if it was a mountain lion. My wife told me of the story and I remembered past ones of people riding mountain bikes or hiking and getting taken by lions. They get jumped from behind and seized by the neck. Full grown men too as I recall. One male mountain bike rider was found after a woman was attacked and her companion managed to chase off the lion.

I thought that I heard that the area around Bridal Veil Falls was known for folks having accidents resulting in death. Do you know whether or not that is true that the terrain is very dangerous there?

Bridal Veil Falls used to have a tram up to the top. It was featured in the movie “Samatha Smiles”.

The sizes of those cats varies greatly, depending on age, sex, locale, etc. A big one can kill a large man easily. I remember a story of a cop that had to shoot one that wandered into a city. The rumor is that right after shooting the cat, he fainted and peed his pants(the cop, not the cat).

Yes, climbers are rescued off the mountains there very often. I have no idea the number of deaths, but as I remember, there has been a number of them.

Cammille was a mountain biker, and her bike was stolen while she was missing. It apparently was chained up near the falls.

Cleverley’s body found
Deseret Morning News

Published: Sept. 9, 2007 4:27 p.m. MDT

PROVO CANYON — Police told reporters Sunday afternoon that they have found the body of Camille Cleverley.
It’s been 10 days since Cleverley was last seen on a purple and silver Schwinn mountain bike riding north on 900 East near the LDS Missionary Training Center.

Law enforcement’s best clue to Cleverley’s whereabouts was a mountain bike that was turned over to police Thursday, said Provo Police Lt. John Guyerman. The Schwinn had been taken from a bike rack near Bridal Veil Falls.

Police identified the bike as Cleverley’s Saturday by comparing her bank records with receipts from ShopKo, where she purchased the bike in June. After searching Cleverley’s Provo apartment, police found a key that unlocked the bike lock found at Bridal Veil Falls.

Plausible idea, however I doubt that it was a mountain lion that used her credit card after she disappeared.

An Utah Highway Patrol helicopter searches cliffs as other searchers watch from the upper observation building at Bridal Veil Falls while searching for missing Brigham Young student Camille Cleverley, Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2007, near Provo, Utah. Authorities searched mountain trails and the Provo River Friday looking for Cleverley, who has been missing for more than a week, near where two people took a bicycle that may belong to her. That was what was reported on one of the cable news programs a couple of days ago.

It was also reported that Camille was the one that used her credit card prior to her missing.
