FReepers, I need your prayers desparately. My mom is going in today for a biopsy for Pancreatic Cancer. She has been losing weight, no appetite etc., which we all attributed (doctor included) with worry over my son being in Iraq. After losing 30 lbs in 2 months her docs sent her for more tests and this has showed up. She has a 1 inch tumor in the pancreas and the doctor has basically said today will be confirmation. She is terified needless to say. She says she is ok with dying but the pain is what she is most afraid of. My son came home from Iraq last week and she was so happy (that don't even cover it)and the next day we got the word about the cancer. She is being kept heavilly sedated right now to get through today and then we will handle it one day at a time. I am her primary caregiver and my sister flew up from Florida to stay with us for the time being. Please pray for us all, mostly my mom that she can have peace of mind regardless of the outcome of the biopsy today. She is worried about me, because I am recovering from shingles due to all the stress. My doctor is afraid the shingles will return with this set of events. Any and all prayers will be appreciated.

My heart goes out to you. I will pray for your circumstances.
The LORD is there quietly upholding you All. He loves you and will help you to walk in his will.
I am a cancer survivor. I know this; every day your mother is alive, SHE IS LIVING. Living is good and a gift from God.
Emphasize this with her, not to focus on the specter of future death, which we are all, always facing, but the certainty of right now and Today.
I asked my self everyday that I was sick, “Can I live like this today?” and the answer was always YES!
Be comforted by the sweet Grace of the living God and live today. I pray she will receive strength and joy from you and all around her, and from the LORD. He will give it to you if you ask him.
I received a terminal diagnosis, but I lived anyway. This doesn’t always happen, but try to help her to look forward, and plan and think ahead and live. I will pray for your strength.
