Then-Secretary of State Collin Powell made the case in 2003 in front of the United Nations that Saddam was providing al Qaeda safe haven in Iraq. As evidence he alleged that Abu Musab Al Zarqawi was an al Qaeda operative in northern Iraq.
For those who want to chastise the invasion of Iraq as misdirected and having nothing to do with al Qaeda, it became important to establish that Secretary of State Powell and the Bush Administration were lying to the UN.

It pretty much doesn’t matter at this point even if we discovered a cache of WMD. The debate has moved beyond that and the public wouldn’t care. The history books might set the record straight but that’s about it.
The administration has to do a much better job communicating this.
The bottom line........kill as many of these worthless terrorist a-wipes as we can and as quickly as we can. They are taking up good air. To say that there was no AQ in Iraq is ridiculous and shallow at best. Iraq under Saddam was a cesspool of terrorists whether connected to 9-11 or not. Saying that though is wrong because all of AQ, wherever located, supported the attacks against the U.S. Find them and kill them.
True, but with the MSM what it is, it would once again fall on deaf ears. Thank goodness for OTMSM (other than MSM).
