Sorry, but Mitt almost TRIPLES his support in SC?

I doubt it.

It helps when you can write a big fat check to get votes as Romney can.

But, not to fear. One state does not determine the election.

Something does not seem right about this poll.

I’ve got to agree, a 10% drop is the product of an event like a detour in a MN bathroom or the accountant talked to the FBI, 10% for nothing?

Nahh, i’m calling B$ on that.

Yup, all the other polls have Thompson well in the lead, with Guiliani second. I’m calling bullsh*t on this poll.

This was the plan all along. Romney has started seriously campaigning in the state. You will see his rise in the poll in SC corresponds to a rise in his name ID for the same period.

The national polls are lagging indicators and usually are not well balanced, geographically, and do not use as tight a screener (less likely to exclude people who will not vote in the primary/show up for the caucus.)

Romney also has an ace in the hole as part of the state machine is behind him as he has Senator DeMint's endoresement and DeMint is committed to delivering his state to the Governor.
