Great to hear. Glad you are back safe. Keep telling us the facts, and we’ll pass them on.

If al Dourhi surfaces, he is pita (I’d say toast, but it IS the Middle East).

The 1920s Revolution Brigades makes up a major faction of the Anbar Awakening and the forces fighting al Qaeda in Iraq in Diyala province. Al Qaeda launched over 10 Chlorine bomb attacks against leaders in the 1920s Revolution Brigades in Anbar province, and attacked mosques, apartment complexes and funerals while its leaders were present.

Mohammad? No. Lesshammad! Allah be cranky.

Wow!

It’s the red-headed Iraqi!
He doesn’t want much, does he? lol

However, negotiations have to start somewhere.

It’s great, too, to see the 1920s denouncement of AQI.

Thank you for all of your posts and pings.
I’ve really enjoyed your threads.

This news doesn’t look all that great to me, but of course, “divide and conquer” works, just takes a while. I’d have cleaned up the mess by nuking every Moslem nation off the face of the Earth as soon as the 9/11 perps were identified, then occupied Arabia. But I’m a little hothead. ;’)

Curse be upon your mustache

Posted by ESC on March 06, 2003
CURSE BE UPON YOUR MUSTACHE, YOU TRAITOR - “DOHA, Qatar - An Iraqi leader unleashed a vitriolic attack on Kuwaiti delegates to an emergency meeting of Muslim nations yesterday. After denouncing Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheik Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jabbar for allowing U.S. forces to mass in his country, Iraqi envoy Izzat Ibrahim al-Douri then hurled insults at Sabah’s deputy who had stood up to defend his minister.’Shut up, you little man, you traitor, you monkey,’ shouted Ibrahim. ‘Don’t you know you are talking to Iraq?.Ibrahim, vice chairman of the Revolutionary Command Council, followed up with a derogatory Arab epithet: ‘Curse be upon your mustache, you traitor.’.With the verbal attack that Kuwait’s minister of state for foreign affairs Sheikh Mohammed Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah wasn’t man enough to deserve the moustache he wore, all hopes of presenting even the facade of solidarity on the Iraq crisis had disappeared...” From an online article, Islamic summit collapses into spat of name-calling, by Tyler Marshall, John Daniszewski And Mark Magnier., Los Angeles Times, posted March 6, 2003, Accessed March 6, 2003. http://www.kentucky.com/mld/heraldleader/5327768.htm

Eventually, the U.S. will withdraw and leftists and Iraqis will praise the U.S. “defeat”, regardless of the conditions of how it happens. Al-Qaada in Iraq will be destroyed and Iraq will be stable enough. We would be leaving on our terms, but the spinmasters will do they always do.

In the next few months the Pakistanis will realize that Al Qaeda has been destroyed and utterly defeated in Iraq and that the Taliban are almost annihilated in Afghanistan, then they will launch a major offensive and crushing offensive against Al Qaeda/Taliban terrorists hiding in Pakistan tribal areas.

That’d be a real public service to civilization if the Pakistanis do finish this project.

A lot of these Sunni groups realize how quickly the AQIR may dissolve in Iraq and figure it is time to at least appear to get on the bandwagon.
However. Their wish list appear to be short of reality for the most part as most will have observed.
I would not put it past Izzat to be attempting to maneuver himself into a position whereby his eventual capture and follow up trials will put him a bit short of the hangman's rope, and live out his years in a cozy prison cell properly feed and cared for.
He may find in the end the Iraqi justice system shall find him guilty of crimes on humanity along with his many Saddamist cronies, regardless of how he appears to have changed.
The King of Clubs cannot cast off his many years of undying devotion to the Butcher of Baghdad.
At any rate, as some here have suggested. It does appear to be a real positive sign, in that AQIR is now further isolated. They appear to have no supporters in Iraq at this point worthy of being mentioned as primary supporters (money wise as well as ideological in nature).
