“A phone number for Herndon in Edgefield was unlisted.”
Otherwise, the reporter would no doubt have called the number in order to get Herndon’s comment on his own death?
Who writes this crap?

"Otherwise, the reporter would no doubt have called the number in order to get Herndons comment on his own death?"After my father's death his voice on the answering machine continued to tell people that he couldn't come to the phone right then and to please leave a message.
He continuned to politely promise to return phone calls for several weeks.

As grandson of Nolan Herndon Sr all praise of the Raiders and my grandfather is appreciated greatly. Moreover it is owed and justified. I had the honor of listening and remembering these facts for 30 years. As to “Brilliant” unlisted means sometimes want for privacy, sometimes people move. On this occasion my grandparents are unlisted due to the fact they are both deceased. People need to learn respect.
