I’ve heard of the DeMoss agency. They are publicist to some of the largest Christian organizations in the country. Found this list of their clients, interesting enough, Focus on the Family is one of them.

Its interesting how McCain is a no-go with evangelicals. I would have thought they would hold him in higher esteem than the rest of the conservative base.
If the two choices were only Mitt and Rudy, I’d definitely choose Mitt.
I am glad Romney says he is pro-life now. But it smells to high heaven of political expediency.
Just like, you know all his other conversions.
Guns. Gay rights. Illegal immigration. yadda yadda.
No way, NO WAY would I ever vote for Romney. Let him run for "Prophet." President, no way.
You should mention the fact that Mark DeMoss is a paid consultant of the Romney campaign.
“I hope that evangelicals read it and consider it carefully.”
Considered and rejected. I will not vote for someone who believes they are God material (that includes Reverend Moon, David Koresh, and anyone else on that path). I will not vote for someone who believes in multiple gods. I will not vote for someone who cannot read the history of his church (because Joseph Smith takes the prise for blatant charlatanism and anyone who believes his baloney is Gullible). I won’t vote for someone who believes in secret temple rights, seer stones, special handshakes and mumbo jumbo like batism of the dead because it is as superstitious as witchcraft.
In short, it isn’t going to happen.
(<-( Gagggg.
Romney is not a conservative, and will not be presuppositionally on “evangelicals” side- He’s another RINO, governed as such. Can’t stomach him.
Great job. That letter is spectacular!!!! Romney is my second choice after Duncan Hunter! I would be proud to vote for him in the general election if he is nominated!!!!
Can’t see evangelical Christians voting for Romney. He’s probably a nice guy with some good ideas, but LDS is a cult and true evangelicals wouldn’t be in favor of a Mormon leading the country. Almost all of my acquaintences are evangelicals and not one of them would vote for Romney.
Ah, yeah. No kidding. He went to Washington and got an 400 million dollar bailout. We lost, Utah hacks made money. Nice.

How much are they paying you, Spiff?
Very on point. I’d suggest just reading the letter in the original post and skipping the comments, as I usually do. It’s pretty nasty out there.
Lots of points in the text about his “unequivocal opposition” to gay marriage, yet he was the sitting Governor in the only state that allows it. His complete lack of backbone in that fight is why he will never get my vote, in any primary or general election.
This guy, Mark Demoss, is a PR group president. He can go jump in a lake as far as I’m concerned. I’ve never heard of him and I suspect as the head of a PR group that he ultimately might be looking for money.
I grew up in north-central Oklahoma.
Raised in a solid (mainstream) Church of Christ environment.
Graduated from a Church of Christ-affiliated college.
And I’m totally open to having Mitt on the Republic ticket, either as
Pres or VP candidate.
Even if Mormonism AIN’T my theological cup of tea.
But then I suppose my admiration of John Moses Browning (Mormon),
“America’s Gunsmith”, might have colored my opinion!!!
This is the kind of thing I like to see... While I’m a little turned off by Romney lately, it’s nice that SOMEONE is saying “Hey! We need to pick somebody or we’ll end up with Rudy by default!”
I am personally satisfied with Romney’s explanations for his policy changes, though I do think he’s a bit of an opportunist. I would feel comfortable with Mitt or Fred. Fortunately, I am not in one of the first states, which start the domino effect, so I’m not in a rush to pick one of them. When Colorado votes, I will pick the one of them who seems to be doing the best against Giuliani so as to avoid splitting that vote.
