Hannity like so many others has fallen victim to the Washington Insider Syndrome. It is incurable.

After hobnobing with these people for years you start to become one of them. It’s part of a big club, and loyalty to the fellow members starts to take precedence in your life.

The US Senate is probably the best example of this. After a few years there you can kiss your principles and beliefs good bye. It’s your relationship with the fellow clubmembers that counts most. Think Trent Lott, Lindsey Graham, Chuck Hagel, Arlen Specter, John Warner.

Ironically, Democrats seem immune to this disease. They remain rigid in their liberal beliefs.

You are SO right, I agree...there’s something about being exposed too long to the inside track in Washington, that is a almost irresistible corruption of ones standards...you see it time after time...Congressmen may go to Washington with very high ideals and morals...but gradually (and sometimes not so gradually), they succumb o the power trip, the ego trip, if you will...and they become corrupted and of no use at all in taking care of our country and our people.
