Any chance we will see this headline on a Seattle PI editorial?

"Based on this Paper's view that mandatory military service is required to be eligible for Commander in Chief (which we ignored from 1992 through 2000) the Seattle Post-Intelligencer endorses Democrat Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Biden, Biden, Kucinich, Richardson, and Dodd (he's disqualified because he did a "Bush" hideout in the Reserves during Nam - his Daddy was a Senator). Vote None of the Above in '08."

The Communist Party USA protested against going to war against Nazi Germany until Hitler betrayed their beloved Uncle Joe Stalin.

And what is it that makes this author think that Rush Limbaugh is a neo-conservative? When did he switch? Or is he following some NEW branch of conservativism?

"The recent remarks by Rush Limbaugh in which he called military men who opposed the Iraq war "phony soldiers"..."

And the left continues to mouth the big lie!

BUMP

And while some candidates may want to stress an opposition to war, EVERY presidential candidate should be PREPARED to lead this nation in war. It is required of the Commander in Chief.

Did the author Greg James...

Sounds like a 'Phony Columnist' to me... wonder how long it took him to devise the fake moniker. Read the comments on the link to this pack of lies... they ooze with arrogant, leftist ignorance.

Hey idiot, Limbaugh was talking about an actual “phony soldier” who spun tales about Iraq. He wasn’t talking about military men and women who disagree with the war. If you can’t get that straight, we can safely ignore everything you write.

Was this article written 10 days ago. They are STILL spinning the same lie.

Doesn't Post-Intelligencer mean After-intelligence....

They have no clue what patriotism is. Talk about alternate reality....they are projecting really bad.

It may be that BDS is morphing into LDS before our eyes.

Might be better to call it "R(ush) Derangement Syndrome" ... the acronym "LDS" is already taken ...

FWIW.

How come FDR gets a pass from the hypocrite named Greg James?

Germany/Italy did not bomb Pearl Harbor yet we went across the Pacific as well as the Atlantic?

Hussein did not support terror (Don't forget non compliance Greggie and DU lurkers)? Hell Hussein’s crony on 60 Minutes was bragging about paying off homicide bomber’s families.

Anybody who looks at Greg James to score points on those “chickenhawks” are idiots plain and simple.

Did the author Greg James serve in the U.S. Armed Forces? Because according to his logic, if he did not serve, then he is not entitled to an opinion either.

Why not read the article and find out? No wait, I'll save you the effort. He did.

He is somewhat right in one area. Support for the war would likely drop dramatically overnight if people other than those currently directly impacted - servicemen and their families - actually had to endure any sacrifice to continue the war. If taxes were raised to fund it or items were rationed to support it or conscription was enacted to fill the military to fight it you would see a whole lot of people change their tune.

"You have to wonder if the whole conservative movement in the U.S. is living in a weird alternate reality in which the only thing that matters is what you say, and facts, consistency and honor mean nothing." ...said an alien from BizzaroWorld today.

Perhaps what I wrote went straight over your head. It doesn’t matter if he served or not.

So in their alternate universe, you must oppose “war” if you never fought in it (thus, generally, all women oppose war, of course). And you must support it if you ever fought.

Unless, of course, you’re a war detractor who knows all about it. Then it’s OK to be “opposite”.

As far as this “avoidance” - when did Hannity have to go to war?
