Phony Indignation over a Phony Scandal

The dirty little secret about Sen. Harry Reid's failed character assassination attempt against my brother, Rush Limbaugh, is just how contrived the Senate Democrats' outrage was about the fraudulent allegation that Rush had impugned certain soldiers.

I won't rehash the facts in detail, but essentially, Rush was falsely accused of calling troops who had expressed opposition to the Iraq War "phony soldiers."

Not only was Rush not criticizing soldiers, but he was defending soldiers who had been criticized by pretend Iraqi War veterans who had lied about their combat service in Iraq to gain credibility when they accused the actual soldiers there of unspeakable atrocities.

If Reid's true instinct was to defend soldiers, he would have agreed with Rush's criticism of the fake soldiers who lied about the real ones. He would have shared Rush's outrage and demanded strict proof.

Sadly, the left all too often has unquestioningly accepted such horrible allegations against our soldiers. Sen. Dick Durbin assumed the worst of our soldiers in Guantanamo. Sen. John Kerry disseminated lies about our troops raiding Iraqi homes and assaulting civilian women and children. And Rep. John Murtha prejudged Marines guilty of murdering innocent civilians before they had even told their side of the story, much less been tried for the alleged crimes.

I hear Glenn Beck is the latest target of the Hillary/Soros/Brock smear machine.

From Bill O'Reilly to Rush Limbaugh to Ann Coulter to us (for mugging Randi Rhodes), and, now, Glen Beck?

I’ll bet that none of these clowns took the time to find out exactly what Rush said.

As for Media Matters, it wouldn’t surprise me if they were outright liars.

Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, and Ann Coulter have one thousand times more power than all the little pricks at Media Matters put together.

Media Matters has Harry Reid, the Democrats, and the potential President of the United States (gasp) behind them.

Reid and the Dims are working directly from the play book developed by the Bolshevik Party.

Reid and the Dims are working directly from the play book developed by the Bolshevik Party.

This attack by Sen. Reid on private citizen Rush is reminscent of those Stalinistrpurges caused by the assassination of Kirov (murdered by Stalin himself according to the great Robert Conquest).

Stalin and Ehzov knew that the people who were brought up on charges, Bukharin; etc., were innocent of the crimes they were accused of. Sen. Reid; etal knew Rush Limbaugh did not refer to regular Iraqi protesting soldiers as phony soldiers but went ahead with harassing Rush via his employer anyway.

The Randi Rhodes incident is reminiscent of when Stalin put on trial Molotov's driver for accidentally driving into a ditch with Molotov (see Robert Conquest). At least, the driver up on the Stalinist show trial did drive accidentally into a ditch; however, Randi Rhodes fell down because she was drunk and the listeners of Rush Limbaugh are blamed for an incident that was entirely Randi Rhodes's fault(!). The lib/commies have surpassed their real Commie models in their smearing of their opponents (us). This is how crazy things are today.

Your reply brings back memories of my Russian history classes in college. I had a professor that taught REAL history back then.

It is too bad that most of the American population has never had to study this.

I believe the liberals stopped the teaching of real history in schools so they can foist their lies (Reid, Pelosi, et al.) to further their dangerous and anti-american agenda on the country.

If the country does not wake up to this I fear for my children.

I fought the Cold War and now wonder how we fight this new, internal cold War.

After the Rhodes “mugging” incident, I tuned in to AA to hear what the explanation would be. It happened to be Ed Schultz. He had David Brock on for maybe 20 minutes. I decided to listen to hear how they would spin the phony soldier hoax.

Not once did either the host or the guest mention the incident. Of course AA callers are strictly limited to moonbats, so no callers brought it up either. This was maybe a week after the biggest incident in the operation's history. Shows pretty clearly how confident the lying scumbags are of their position on the issue.

One good thing to come of this: the Democrats can no longer fall back on the “Don’t question my patriotism” line. They lied to question Rush’s.

Reminds me that I have to e-mail my two senators to tell them that, since they were soooo concerned about our troops being treated with respect that they signed Reid’s letter attacking Limbaugh, they should now put their money where their pen was and match the $2 million donation obtained from the letter in the same way that Rush is...should pi$$ ‘em off a bit......
