Among Arabs, it's more common with those from Syria, Lebanon and Palestine than with the Iraqis, Yemenis, Omanis and the Saudis.

Among Iranians(who are not Arabs), Afghans, Pakistanis and Indians (all four have a majority of their population coming from a common origin), it appears occasionally.

Interesting...I wondered if the fact that Iranians were not Arabs had anything to do with it. Thanks for the info.
