In New Jersey, our politicians don't call it bullying, they call it "working for their constituency". The Democrats bully one group of people and the Republicans bully another.

At the end of the day they all treat us pretty much the same. We're just the serfs, expected to work to support our masters, while they are our noble lords who are responsible for making our decisions for us.

At the end of the day we're supposed to just hand over our cash and do what we're told, or someone will be along to "bully" us too. It's a great system if you're a state assemblyman, but awful if your just a private citizen without political pull.

More and more it looks like an Ayn Rand novel.

As you know, ABQ Journal material must be excerpted and I didn’t feel like sitting through the commercial to check your work. Would you like to post this again?

Thank you for your response and offer. I cut and snip the story to meet the 300-word excerpt but never paraphrase in the article. In this case, I did it twice and that is enough. The link will take interested readers to get the details. In the future I’ll be more careful about copying article links.

This is the same governor that requires all of his appointees to sign an undated resignation letter before they start work for him.

I like that idea, a lot.

It may sound like a good idea and you might think it could be used as a tool to enforce accountability, however, like anything else it can be a tool that is misused. To often in NM under King Bill we have seen appointees who do the right thing and stand up to him have their letters pulled and dated with a your out of here announcement.
