I point out to Marylanders the kind of people they have elected all the time.
I especially love to catch somebody complaining about state taxes. They keep voting for these fools, they should stop complaining about the taxation they knew they would get.
I have some dear friends who vote in Maryland and who always vote for the candidates most likely to raise their taxes, because it is the “most generous and open-hearted thing to do,” and then I have to listen to them cry about the taxes in Maryland. Several years ago I began limiting my response to, “You reap what you sow,” and leave it at that.
