Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo is running radio ads in Iowa that hit hard on an array of core conservative issues.

In the ad Tancredo says, “Everything we are, everything we have achieved in this nation is at under attack from jihadists abroad and from multiculturalists here at home.”

Tancredo takes clear cut positions on both social and fiscal conservative issues.

“I will fight to protect the innocent unborn. I will fight to put God back into the schools. I will demand a constitutional amendment to define marriage. I’ll cut taxes and spending secure our borders, enforce our laws, and I will defend our country against radical Islam.”

Tancredo also makes the claim that the survival of the nation is at stake.

GREAT radio ad. I’m a Hunter fan, but that was one ad by Tancredo.

Tancredo and Hunter are the real conservatives in the race, but the powers that be have determined that they are “fringe candidates” who should be excluded from the IA debate. That shows how the party hacks regard conservatives.

Nice picture. Perhaps you can tell me where the “Sir Tancelot” picture I always see on HotAir.com came from?

“Tancredo also makes the claim that the survival of the nation is at stake.”

I don’t call that making a claim, more like stating a fact!

He's right about jihadists. Any rational human being gets that.
But as a multi-ethnic nation it's not as easy to make the case that multiculturalists are the enemy.

I think most Americans appreciate the diverse cultural nature of our society when it comes to the arts, music, foods etc etc.

However when it comes to religious and social values... the principles on which our country is founded... I think a case can be made that it is threatened by multiculturalism.

IMHO Tancredo needs to be more specific.

But the party’s nominee will still need your support when he faces Hitlery. Not supporting the Republican nominee, whether it be Fred, Romney or Rudy, will hand over our troops to the Demoncrats. That’s like handing over our troops to Al Qaeda.

Multiculturalism and ethnic tolerance are two entirely different things.

It is laudable to have ethnic traditions preserved, as long as that happens in the context of a shared culture. We always had this as part of the “melting pot.”

Unfortunately, that is not what is happening under multiculturalism. Instead, we get a balkanized society, in which people living side-by-side are strangers to one another. That does not bode well for the future of any nation.

Yes, and I'm talking about multiculturalism.

Not just people "tolerating" other cultures.

"people living side-by-side are strangers to one another"

That's your narrow definition of multiculturalism.

Certainly not mine.
