Frank Rich, former movie reviewer promoted to political pundit, would be a raging embarrassment to most newspapers. But the Times features this moron. If he was truly concerned about corruption, he would worry about the Clintons. Since he doesn't, he isn't.

No, I think you've got his number.

But then... perhaps you've not extended your logic a bit further, to the observation that the New York Times is an embarrassment to American journalism, which is an embarrassment to the art of journalism, which formerly informed but now deceives. The entire enterprise is a rotted corpse unburied but undaunted in its insistence that it still thrives. When the pursuit of truth and the dissemination of informational clarity once again motivates the news media, it will not be the Frank Riches of the world, but the Cal Thomases and the Wes Prudens who will lead the charge. Until such time, the Times and its prevaricating progeny, still rot.
