A U.S. senator says immigration authorities should be on hand to arrest illegal aliens who show up to get the controversial Matricula Consular cards issued by the Mexican government. Sen. David Vitter, R-Louisiana, asked U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to place agents this weekend outside a municipal building in Lafayette, La., where Mexican consular officials had planned to issue the cards, which can be obtained by any Mexican living outside Mexico. Critics say the cards are a magnet for illegal aliens because they convey the trappings of legal status.
"The Mexican government makes it perfectly clear in advertising this that their citizens can get these cards whether they're here legally or illegally...it's going to attract a significant number of illegals," Mr. Vitter said, adding that ICE should take action....
Mr. Vitter says ICE refused his request, but the Lafayette city government stepped in and revoked the consulate's license to use the municipal building.
Matricula cards are accepted by some banks and state and local governments as valid identification, which critics say allows illegal aliens to blend into American society. Mexican consulates regularly schedule appearances nationwide to issue the cards to Mexican citizens. Vitter said ICE should target those events, and said he raised the issue with ICE's chief, Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Julie L. Myers, in a telephone call. He said she was not very helpful... ICE spokeswoman Pat Reilly said Myers heard Mr. Vitter's concerns but said ICE prioritizes enforcement to focus on illegal aliens at critical national security and infrastructure sites. The spokeswoman also said ICE doesn't want to interfere in the Mexican government communicating with legal residents, who also are eligible for the identification cards...Earlier this year, an embassy spokesman said that Mexico issued 963,782 cards in 2004, 830,987 in 2005 and 929,702 in 2006...

There are a million things, small and massive, that ICE could be doing to make life untenable for illegals in this country, if they had real leadership and permission to use their heads.
Things that would not require any extra budgeting or manpower.
Think of the effect stationing a single ICE agent, checking ID’s (helpfully announced well in advance for maximum effect) at the front doors of county/municipal social services buildings, courthouses, DMV’s, emergency rooms, meat processing plants, and yes, consulates.

The jist of this refusal by ICE, employed by the People (US Citizens), to enforce the Laws of this Nation, is now free to refuse to do their sworn duty to uphold the Law. It will not be long before the SC has its say on the handgun ban in DC, which the SC could decide to place in effect Nationwide. How long before American Citizens are replaced by people illegally in our Nation?
Most politicians in DC are firmly in the enemy camp. I need not write of who these people are, Americans know, yet FReepers know even more. Free Speech? There is little. News? Basically none whatsoever from the box, unless that news is to control, and keep Americans from voting their conscience.
I realize many here would prefer to see me place on a tin-foil hat and say nothing true. There is little truth spoken to the American people, this is common in our world. America and Americans have been cowed by PC. There is little or no chance for Americans and our families unless America and Americans rise up, in mass, to precipitate change.
I admit that I am a coward. I am also doing what I can, but one coward is not enough. Without Americans lose our cowardisness and vote for change, no change will come and then America will only be left with a written record, which will be easily destroyed.
The job, at hand, is going to take a majority of the People. Defeating Shamnesty was not enough. Some form, of Shamnesty, will be forced upon the American people not far down the road, if real change does not come to America. If the weapons of ordinary law abiding Citizen are taken, as is taking place in cities throughout our land (DC for one) American will be led like lambs to slaughter. Doubt me at your own risk, and the risk of your families, fellow Americans.
While most will refuse to believe me, other will shrug off this post, most will not read it, and still others will call me 'crazy'. Maybe I am .... crazy .... crazy with rage because I do not want to see more Americans die because Americans refused to remove the enemy inside our gates.

The consulate? Hell, just go to Wally World any given Sunday afternoon! It’s like another country has invaded for the day!
Can you imagine the highway patrol not giving speeding tickets because they can't catch everyone?
Unfortunately, our president doesn't give a damn about the laws he swore to uphold.
I also recall that Little Miss Julie has recently been apologizing profusely for her non-role in a Halloween party because she...drum roll please....wants to be confirmed as the Chief of the very same agency, Immigration and Customs Enforcement!
Just remember...these people are all allegedly Law 'n Order REPUBLICANS (you're supposed to let out a shout whenya say that, ya know?).

What kind of ID’s need to be presented at the Mexican Consul to get the green card? Most only have fake ones. What if a US citizen that looked Hispanic went in and gave them fake ID’s and then was given a green card? Wouldn’t that be enough to shut the process down? I doubt our government would do it but maybe Tancredo or Hunter would.

The Lactation Memo article is so funny is could be satire, but it is not. And that is not funny. The people running our government are TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT. And I have owned Yorkies smarter than Julie Myers. Every time I see her on TV I want to scream. My proposal to fix all this is to switch all IRS staff with the Homeland Security staff, so that the people who collect our taxes with such efficacy will be guarding our borders, and the people who purport to guard our borders but don’t will be collecting the taxes.
Julie has succeeded in making herself a caricature (caricaturess?!). The ICE Queen who writes fluffy touchy feely memos!

Our own federal gubment is trying their best to screw us.The only thing standing in the way are local gubment.Good for them.
