Rick Warren’s church......what a shocker. This guy gets more press, as if he speaks for evangelical Christians.

If you are a preacher, all you have to do to get good press is to equate government assistance with charity, which is a perversion.

Charity is a blessing given freely, usually to a recipient who has repented of destructive behavior. By contrast, welfare is coercive, funded by money taken by force. Its object is driven by covetousness, to use other people's property supposedly to do "good works." In reality, welfare inculcates a system that justifies more money by failure and asks nothing in the way of repentance from its customers is an evil.

Covetousness is born of the presumption that G-d will not provide. It becomes a way of acquiring property by collective claim. It justifies construction of institutions capable of enslaving us.

Rick Warren is thus an agent of sin of the highest degree, an abettor of evil.

Well, Rick Warren is certainly evangelizing a lot of folks. To what he is calling them is another whole topic. Apparently, he's evangelizing for ideas, not Truth.

Yes, for sure. But, shhh, we're supposed to believe he does speak for Evangelicals. Always the way with the left. They were/are highly critical of the Christian right. Until they want/need to try to hijack/court it for their own purposes, or at least the appearance of courting it. Then it's so cool. Making it seem like Hil is welcomed at an event that was once a conservative Christian domain. Very Slick Willy of her.

Don’t be shocked. If I’m not mistaken, Rick Warren signed the letter of apology that was sent by Christians to Muslims.
