No, no, no.

They need to propose a line of solar panels several hundred miles long across Alaska in order to offset man-made global warming. Then they need to install a pipe under it.

Sheesh. Do I have to do everything?

I prefer the recently lauded small nuclear reactors capable of powering an entire community for 25 years. Let’s get on with it....enough bowing the knee to the corrupt Saudis.

This is good news for a US energy policy ... proposed by business. One step at a time. However I wonder if it will get anywhere with environmentalists fighting it every step of the way ... and a Democratic-lead Congress that apparently believes that a good energy policy is dependency on other countries.

There is another thread somewhere, also poorly attended.

I saw something (Bloombrg TV) concerning the Gov. Chick saying how Alaskans were taking control away from the established oil companies....

Oops...my mistake...off topic: Alaska is a great place, was there in the early 80s...a lot of rich oil/pipeline workers still around at that time....

Great place. Right. A soldier in north Iraq is away for eight months and somebody ripped off everything in her house. Furniture, oil furnace, oil tank, washing machine, truck, fixtures. 20 mile Hot Springs Road.

Everybody knows you really cannot hide in Alaska, even if your neighbor is 50 miles away chances are you are close friends. And another interesting fact is almost any Alaskan can be a vigilante here as well, I personally shot out the tire of a robbery suspect at a supermarket in Wasilla several years ago.
We are no nonsense people that per household against any other state have more firepower, I think I have over 20 rifles and pistols alone but my hobbies include gunsmithing.
I think the perp will be found eventually in some bear scat.

Well, it sure has the support of the vast majority of Alaskans. The vocal minority will of course hold things up, but we have to keep hammering away at them.

Conoco was non-responsive. The other likely proposal, the Chinese gas company is now under attack by the Feds, including Sen Murkowski and Sen Stevens, if they intend to export gas to China, which they might do. That leaves a big hole in the crowd of proposers.
