While the details of the stories were exaggerated and misplaced, what it tells us in the end is that Beauchamp and some of his buddies were immature and heartless from the very start...

I don't think Beauchamp's stories tell us anything about his buddies since all that is known for sure is that Beauchamp is a liar. I believe it was TNR's intention to slander Beauchamp's fellow soldiers and I am sorry that you seem to have fallen for their propaganda. Those who serve with Beauchamp deserve better from you.

So are you saying then that TNR invented the numerous corroborations for the Kuwait mess hall story? I recognize TNR is trying to cover their asses, and yes, Beauchamp lied about the time and place of “The Crypt Keeper” saga as he and his friends called her. But all of his friends involved corroborated it, and were even the ones who tipped it off that it was in Kuwait, not Iraq. But that is just the point of it. That was before any of them ever set foot in Iraq. People like Beauchamp seek out their own kind, and they all sound like they enjoy a good laugh at the misfortune of others. There are assholes everywhere, especially fresh out of high school, so don’t try to pretend like none of them ever enlist. But what TNR tried to do was use this knuckledhead as propaganda for a political statement about what war supposedly does to our innocent, fresh-faced kids. But the truth came out that he was already a jerk, and always has been.
