BAGHDAD - The number of Iraqis killed last month fell to 718, an Associated Press tally showed, the lowest monthly death toll since just before the 2006 bombing of a Shiite shrine provoked a vicious cycle of retaliatory sectarian violence.

The figures come as the military says violence has fallen to levels not seen in nearly two years, while acknowledging that Iraqis are still dying in unacceptable numbers.

Although the headline indicates that the Iraqi deaths have dropped, the article also states that deaths of US troops have declined.

That, of course, could change anytime. Those that pray, keep praying. Maranatha.

The Liberal MSM will find a way to spin it, the dems will continue moving the goal posts, and the US will continue fighting towards victory.

I can’t wait for the surrendercrats to eat a heaping helping of crow in 2008, when they discover all they succeeded in doing is giving hope to the ever-decreasing insurgent ranks in Iraq.

Victory in Iraq is defeating defeatism at home, a policy promoted for partisan advantage by the Democrats and the so-called (shrimp) Libertarian Run Paul.

The numbers just keep getting better. The Iraqi people turning against the terrorists and actively participating in their demise has made a huge diference.

The most exciting thing that has happened in Baghdad today is that water fell out of the sky this morning for the first time since April. ;-)

Ya beat me on that one. Now Allegra must put on her booties, and scarf and brave the cold winds that will befall the land between two rivers.
But soon the warmth of the sun shall return. The roses again shall come out. And Lord willing at that point we shall see such drastically good improvements among the Iraqi parties, all the AP will be able to do is complain about people stealing wire from their neighbors homes. And of course things they have done for many many years, like bust holes in pipelines to boot leg oil for the black market etc..
UBL (or his look alike) made it clear. Time for the baddies to pull out of Iraq and concentrate on A and P.

Amen. The change really is amazing.

"They" tried to pull something off this morning, but it was thwarted. Sucks to be a terrorist in Iraq these days. ;-)

Sort of like in the original Star War movie when the gang went to the bar... and the bar tender says, regarding C-P30 and R2-D2..... we don’t serve their kind.
