I usually don’t post on any RP threads, but I do have to say, Paul could end up surprising a lot of posters here. This board , by and large, has tunnel vision. Paul’s name is getting out there and some folks are liking what they hear. Simply calling him a kook or yelling for him to get out of the “party” is not going to fix the real problem. The Republican party is leaving its voting base like the democratic party left Reagan.

I do agree that we the people do want change. Unfortunately incrementalism got us here and swinging a baseball bat won’t get us back on the right path. It’s going to take someone who can at least work with his own party. A Ron Paul presidency would be ineffective because both parties would isolate him and make things worse without him.

I agree, and thank you for a reasonable and polite post. You're a breath of fresh air.

Michael, excellent comments, but it goes deeper than that. We are witnessing a huge paradigm shift in the electorate. The days of liberal vs conservative, Democrat vs Republican are coming to an end. Paul's honest message of returning to our Constitution is being embraced by everybody.

I truly believe that this is the return of the statesman politician, someone who value our government and the role it plays. My prediction is that there's going to be some candidates running as "Ron Paul" Republicans in the Congressional and Senate races next year.
