When I was a young man of 20, I spent a summer in Ethipia. Pot there could be bought at the open market for $2.50 American for a kilo in a big plastic bag. It was very strong and someone dumped a quarter pound of it into our spaghetti sauce one night. There were 12 of us at dinner, and I can tell you, every one was higher than a giggling kite!
Maybe what you say is true for US pot, I do not know much about it. Once I returned from mother Africa, I never touched the stuff again,its too expensive and risky to buy in the USA. I was comletely sated from having had it over there.
Where did you get that nugget of wisdom? I'm here to tell you that you're wrong, Cannabis can be baked into brownies or boiled into tea, and it will get you righteously f'ed up. You can just pull the buds and leaves out of the bag and munch away, but I don't know why anyone would do that.
Pot is illegal, and therefore relatively scarce and expensive. Smoking it delivers a more intense and immediate high. It's a question of bang for the buck.
But if pot were legal, and therefore cheaper, more people would choose to eat or drink it. That produces a slower, milder, longer-lasting buzz. With any intoxicant, ingestion is slower than inhalation. It's a longer route to the bloodstream.
If someone were to eat a lot of pot pizza (not to be confused with pan pizza), he's likely get incredibly drowsy an hour or so later, It's an effect of cannabis, but also an effect of a big meal. You might have some unpleasant side effects -- wen I got stoned, my tinntus, which is usually easy to drown out or ignore, got loud to the point of being painful.
If you've never smoked up, never gotten high, it might take a while to realie that something is awry. A veteran stoner would immediately recognize, but a newbie wouldn't, that two plus two equals purple. And if that doesn't mae sense to you, you've never done bong hits on a dare.
Just for the record, I tried pot in college and just after. I didn't like it. I' not going to giv you any Clintnesque "I didn't inhale" bullstuff -- I inhaled deep, and I held it in. But as I lived and learned, I discovered that the best joint on Earth was not as pleasurable as a decent single-malt scotch or a good dark porter. Alcohol, caffeine and nicotine are my intoxicants of choice. Lucky for me they're all legal. For now.
