House Speaker Nancy Pelosi lashed out at Republicans on Thursday, saying they want the Iraq war to drag on and are ignoring the public's priorities. "They like this war. They want this war to continue," Pelosi, D- Calif., told reporters. She expressed frustration over Republicans' ability to force majority Democrats to yield ground on taxes, spending, energy, war spending and other matters.
"We thought that they shared the view of so many people in our country that we needed a new direction in Iraq," Pelosi said at her weekly news conference in the Capitol. "But the Republicans have made it very clear that this is not just George Bush's war. This is the war of the Republicans in Congress."

"We thought that they shared the view of so many people in our country that we needed a new direction in Iraq,"
Nancy, there is a new direction in Iraq, but you're a broken record, stuck on stupid, and continue to ignore it. Wake up, stop pandering to $oro$ and moveon.organizationofidiots, and we'll leave victorious.

That’s the braindead hippy in her talking. No one likes war, Ms. Speaker...what a moronic thing to say (just add it to the list).

The American people see the war is a success. Even your Jack Murtha concurs. For some reason you can't see what every one else knows to be true. So Madam Speaker, sit down and shut up.

Her inept leadership is really weighing hard on her loony supporters. The frustration is beginning to show.

I used to think that Sheila Jackson Lee was the dumbest Member of Congress. Boy, was I ever wrong. It may be that Nancy Pelosi is the dumbest every to haunt the Halls of the Capitol. I know that’s a mighty tall mountain to climb, but it looks like she’s up to it.

A cri de coer. She is lashing out in rage and frustration that we are not going to lose the war for her before the election.
That, and republicans and the president are a bunch of mean old doody-heads.

You mean Cut N Run, Run Up The White Flag and Get The Hell Out Of Dodge? You don't know the American people, Nancy. Americans may not agree on much but one likes a quitter. So quit whining and shut yer yap.

We need a new strategy because this one is working.

We know what the Nancy woman really likes, so she's saying these things to draw attention from it.
She got caught redhanded condoning Congressional pages administering BJs in front of an audience of other pages.
She should be resigning.

What a stinking pile this woman is. There isn't one FReeper who doesn't wish that the war had been successfully completed three years ago, and that the casualties had been a small fraction of what they turned out to be. We want the war over, too, but on terms that don't render it a tragic waste.
Now, if Ann Coulter or Dick Cheney had made a comment like this regarding Democrats, it would be denounced editorially by every newspaper in the country. But my guess is that Pelosi will get a pass, and that this will cause just a minor ripple. If FOX weren't there to point it out, it would be overlooked entirely.
