I had heard from a very reliable source that Trent
would not run for reelection in 5 years.
But that is quite a stretch from retiring
at the end of this year.
Nothing would surprise me.

yallpolitics.com has all kinds of blogs about this topic. Obviously everything in the comments is heresay (like freerepublic) but it does give one the impression that Mike Moore wants a senate seat, yet now is unequivocally not running.

I have heard that Trent had planned this... but that comes from a very close and pro Lott man. I just do not know what the truth is... but the truth will out one day. It always does in the end.
