Each Infantry BCT will have 3,500 soldiers, while the Heavy BCTs will each have 4,200 troops. This means a total gain of 29,200 soldiers in these eight brigades.

In addition, a number of the other new units will be MPs, engineers, field artillery, and aviation, all of whom are extremely valuable on the ground.
