Israel does not have liberals they don’t need evidence just safety. There are no Clintons, Kennedys, Boxers etc to dispute anything. They only care about their people something liberals need to learn.
Suppose a mugger is holding you at gunpoint, but you happened to know for a fact a way to disarm him. Sure, you might smudge his fingerprints on the gun, but that isn’t really what’s at the forefront of your decision to act, is it? You’re not thinking about his conviction, you’re thinking about your survival.
Because the Syrians were not just holding the stuff, but building their own program based on Saddam's stuff. A big headstart. Syrian nukes would be even more dangerous to Israel than Iraqi ones would have been, and about on par with Iranian ones.
