By the way I’m 50, and I ‘missed’ the Vietnam war... I went in the service in 1976. The last of the troops were pretty much out of there by ‘74 if I recall correctly. So, someone a year younger than myself couldn’t have been in Nam.

We've got one of those guys here--he's 50, yet claims he's a combat vet of Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, and the first Gulf War.
Or at least he did until I pointed out that he would have had to have lied about his age to join the Army at age 14.
