WASHINGTON – It's no longer just a charge of copyright violation in the case of Michael Savage v. Council on American-Islamic Relations.
Now the radio talk star is going for the legal jugular in his battle with the group that bills itself as a Muslim civil rights organization.
The San Francisco-based talker has amended his lawsuit against CAIR for misusing audio clips of his show as part of a boycott campaign against his three-hour daily program to include charges the group "has consistently sought to silence opponents of violent terror through economic blackmail, frivolous but costly lawsuits, threats of lawsuits and abuses of the legal system."
The amended lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Northern California, also charges CAIR with using extortion, threats, abuse of the court system, and obtaining money via interstate commerce under false and fraudulent circumstances – calling it a "political vehicle of international terrorism" and even linking the group with support of al-Qaida.
The federal government recently named CAIR, based in Washington, D.C., as an unindicted co-conspirator in an alleged scheme to funnel $12 million to the terrorist group Hamas.

A lot of people don’t like savage/weiner, but imo, he’s clearly the good guy in this case. CAIR is just an outright disgusting organization.

Good luck to him! But if gets a liberal and/or cowardly judge—the Muslims can use muscle—he is in trouble. And I hope he is watching his back, varying his routines, and sleeping at more than one address. The Rushdie, Van Gogh and many other cases teach us that those who offend the agents of militant Islam do so at some risk to their physical safety.
CAIR = financed by the Saudis to weaken the US legal system and help speed up the islamic takeover.
CAIR's true mission is the politial, social and economic destruction of any media person or journalist who opposes the Islamic social agenda by exposing CAIR and its supportes to the light of truth. 14 of CAIR's directors have been exposed to have terrorist ties.
MArk Steyn, a Canadian journalist has been attacked by the Cabadian arm of the organization by using provincial human rights commissions and a federal human rights commision, in an attempt to censor him and MacLean's Magazine for alleged "hate speech" when in fact Steyn was simply asserting facts and commenting accurately on them.
Basicly CAIR works aganst the exervcise of democratic free speech, just like the Nazis did in 1930s Germany.
I hope they are shut down and run out of town.
Where do I kick in a few bucks to help Savage and slap that CAIR a good one right across the teeth?
