I have always supported Fred for president. I have just not supported his campaign strategy. I want to see him win, not lose, and I think that will require a change of strategy. Which is what I’ve been saying all along.

You seem to think the way to be “supportive” is to cheerlead for a misdirected campaign as it drives right off a cliff.

You sound awfully sane.

Man, c-punch -- if your Fred posting history on Free Republic is your idea of "support," I sure feel sorry for your kids and anyone who works for you or has to live with you!! You are in the top five, or maybe even the top three, of the MOST NEGATIVE posters on this forum! People like you can only ever bring things down, never lift things UP. You rationalize it and comfort yourself by pretending that others are mere "cheerleaders" and you alone are the hard-nosed realist. In reality, you are the mushy pain in the patoot who tries our patience!

The bottom line of your "support" for Thompson is that you have been whining and crying since day one that he isn't doing it the way you think he should, waaah waaah waaaah .... you offer NOTHING constructive to the conversation, only whining. We all know you even though we've never met you, because we all have one of you in the family -- that one sour uncle or drippy second cousin who never has anything good to say about anything, even when that "anything" is something they claim to like.

My dad has a wonderful saying for people like you, and a saying that broke me of the ugly habit of whining when I was a little kid: You'd complain if you were hung with a new rope!
