Stephanopolous said he thought Thompson had a great night.
I finally found the video of the debate on the NYT site. Fred did pretty much have the best night but he likes to speak in short sentences and the other candidates just go on and on and on. If I have to heard McCain tell me that he was the guy with the foresight to change things in Iraq and that is the reason we are now winning (yeah, like it wasn’t Petreaus and West who came up with the strategy).
But none of the other guys ever really engage Fred because they can’t disagree with him but they also don’t think they need to attack him since he isn’t in the top three. We’ll see how that turns out in another two weeks.
