Or manager of the Ron Paul campaign.
Okay, shut it down, do not bring them back here, let them go.
The US has not the leadership or gumption left to fight and win.
Save us, at least, having to pay for trials and the fear of having these animals in our midst.
One has to admit, this has been a PR victory for the the bleeding heart MSM and their European allies.
Wow , I am surprised. This makes Huckabee look good.
That’s right, let US policy be dictated by that tiny sliver of the world’s population represented by the Socialist/gay media.
Brilliant leadership.

With this kind of PC thinking coming from the top, our goose is cooked in this war.
Cooked.
How about the Admiral pay attention to Naval matters and let the elected officials sort out the Nation’s “image”?
They ought to be making the place bigger.
So Adm. Mike Mullen is a Huckabee man. LOL
WEINIE!!! Whata WEINIE!!
This guy should step down.
If Mullen is calling for his colleagues in Quantanamo to be released, then they should be moved to his home where his family can take care of them. I wonder if Mrs. Mullen knows how to prepare food for their strict religious diet?
This a political decision, not a military decision. He should keep his mouth shut.
As a retired Naval officer, I keep abreast of Navy policies. Mullen decision’s are based on politics and he is not a warrior like the former chairman, Gen. Pace
Now we have a politically-correct wimp as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. When does the plague of locusts arrive?
Close it, but hang 'em all first.
Who authorized the admiral to give an interview, especially one in which he took it upon himself to make such a suggestion? Do officers actually have such freedom in today’s military?
On the other hand he may only be following the wishes of the Commander and Chief.
Bush had a great Chief of Staff, Peter Pace, but he bowed to the Democrats and retired him for doing his job and speaking his mind.
Then he put in Mike Mullen, a timeserver, to further please the Democrats.
Now we see what appeasing the Democrats inevitably leads to.
Did he clear that with the CIC?

WASHINGTON - President George W. Bush acknowledged on Wednesday that the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where three detainees committed suicide, has damaged the U.S. image abroad and said it should be shut down. But he said a plan for relocating the prisoners was needed first and he also was awaiting a Supreme Court decision about the forum for handling detainee cases.
