This article is a good analysis of the situation. Without Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson in the picture, Mike Huckabee seems to be the best choice that is left.

The two liberals, Giuliani and Romney, are definitely not gonna fly with serious conservatives. And McCain`s mavarick status leaves him out in the cold. Huckabee might be the least objectionable choice, but I doubt he can win.

Bottom line. None of these guys are conservative. The rightwing is left with moderate and liberal choices to lead the party, or some third party 1/2%er. Not a pleasant thought.

The only person that is not part of the “Nanny State” would be Ron Paul

I’m voting for Fred on Tuesday. I’ll make a decision on the general much later.

Since it’s a choice between 4 Liberal-lites, it’s a matter of who stinks the least. They ALL stink, for various reasons.

McCain has pissed me off so many times, he actually might be enough to force me to stay home, something I’ve NEVER even comtemplated before.

Hucakboob would be the republican version of Jimmah Cahtuh and as far as I can see, he shouldn’t hold office any higher than his current level. He’s already maxed out as far as intellect and ability. No thanks.

Giuliani might be good on the WOT, but why elect a social liberal? Might as well have Shitlery.

That leaves Mitt. I wish I trusted him more. I don’t. I guess at this point for me, he maybe stinks the least although nobody should be celebrating because that certainly isn’t sayin’ much.

And as far as selecting conservative SCOTUS justices, I think we can all expect to be shafted by any of the above on that score.

We are so screwed.

Y’all can decide, and I hope whoever you pick beats Hillary. But I’m not helping with my effort, money, or vote. I just couldn’t face myself.

If my swing state goes for Hillary by one vote, and is the difference in the election, I’ll apologize later.

If that angers anyone, I really don’t care. Stop giving me only RINOs to choose from.

I am going with the Asteroid...

Solid on the Issues and it can have a great impact on the race.

Also would make Hillary or Obama look small by comparison.

Thanks to monkapotamus for the graphics.

Without Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson in the picture, Mike Huckabee seems to be the best choice that is left.

That's what the MSM wants you to think, because they have their campaign to paint him as an ignorant, superstitious, snag-toothed, backwoods-Arkansas, bible-thumping, snake-charming hillbilly is in the can and ready to roll in their goal to reelect Clinton, Inc.

Romney is not my choice, but he has chance of beating Team Clinton.

The Huckster doesn't.

The correct answer is vote strategically in hope of the party turning to a Dark Horse (Fred or Newt):

Vote for the least intolerable of the active candidates (your judgement) if doing so has a realistic change of denying an intolerable candidate delegates. If not, and Fred is still on the ballot, stick to your guns and vote for Fred.

For me McCain and Huckabee are intolerable. I see no point in America having two socialist parties.

I was a Thompson supporter and have shifted along with my family to Romney. We are leaving in 30 mins to go early vote here in Florida for him.

Oh yeah, let’s nominate Huckabee and watch the GOP go down in flames in a 40 state debacle.

I was a Hunter’s Ranger but, Fred was my second choice.

Out of the 4 left, IMO, Romney is a very energetic, family man without a marred past. He has proven himself to be a success at everything he’s done and is by far the most knowledgable about the world economy.

I’m still not sure who I will support but, I think it’s crucial to make sure it’s not McCain. (endorced by the NYTIMES)

It will be Romney for me.

I am terribly disappointed in Thompson. I generously contributed to his campaign and have not received any statement or anything from the campaign since he quit the campaign. Before then, it was several emails a day.

I cannot vote for McCain or Huckabee. I can’t stay home and let Hillary or Obama waltz into the Whitehouse!
