This article is a good analysis of the situation. Without Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson in the picture, Mike Huckabee seems to be the best choice that is left.

At this point, Huckabee is looking like the best remaining viable candidate for conservatives to support.

Absolutely not. I have never voted for that scumbag before, and I don't plan on doing so in the future.

I'll write in Thompson so at least I can say I voted with my conscience. I'm willing to endure four years of the Hildabeest if it means a conservative revival in 2012.

After all, it took Jimmah Carter to get Ronald Reagan.

electability is my top concern.

Bishop Willard has no chance in the
general election.

for me, McCain or Rudy

Where do Fred Thompson supporters go from here?

Depends on what's most important to you.

On the 2nd Amendment and social issues, Huckabee is clearly superior to his rivals.

I’m not going anywhere. Fred’s still on my State’s ballot and I’m gonna vote for him!

Not for me! This FredHead is voting for Mitt Romney. My reasons:
I see Mitt as the next best choice.
Mitt is the one who can stop McCain here in Florida.
Mitt is strong on illegal immigration.
Mitt is strong on lowering taxes.
Mitt is disliked by the MSM media.
Mitt could defeat Hillary or Obama!

LOL! Huckabee is probably the worst of the bunch. Even Giuliani governed more conservatively than Huckabee.

Bull..........I will not vote for Huckabee. Duncan Hunter is nuts to promote him and I will not follow his advice.

Once again - I will never, ever, ever vote for Mike Huckabee for anything, period.

I am (or was - whatever) a staunch FDT guy and backing Mike Huckabee would be such a severe compromise of my principals that I would feel dirty for the rest of my born days.

For the record - my disdain for Mike is not because I was and FDT guy - my disdain for MH is because he lacks character (yes, I said Pastor Mikey lacks character) and governs as a liberal.

The Arkansas liberal. No thanks.

Yep; I’m going with Huckabee. I was leaning that way and Duncan Hunter’s endorsement pushed me over the line.

Article: Giuliani is unacceptable to the kind of conservative who was supporting Thompson, because of his liberal social views and reputation as a moderate.

I don't think that's any more true of Giuliani than it is of the rest. This FredHead is as likely to vote for Giuliani as anyone else left in the race.

None of the above.

This Thompson supporter might cast a protest vote for Alan Keyes, or I might stay home. Haven’t decided yet.

One thing for sure. I will never vote for any one of the Fastally Flawed Four.

RINO is as RINO does.

If you vote for a RINO, you’re part of the problem.
