D is acceptable- but with little enthusiasm- the others are not acceptable.

There was much speculation on Fox last night that McCain would run with Huckabee. I don’t think I could vote for that pair. Maybe I could hold my nose and vote for McCain if he ran with Thompson or some other true conservative but I could not take two big government “moderates.” If the GOP wants to kiss off 10s of millions of conservative voters, then that’s the way to do it.

Meaningless to you, not to the majority of other users who responded. Thanks for not sharing your opinion. No, really thanks.

The “vanity” line again....hmmm.... here’s a coconut radio made by the professor? Excuse me while I slip back on the boat and leave you back on the island with Gilligan.

Who isn’t a liberal??? There’s not one Conservative currently in the 2008 Presidential election.

Ron Paul supporters... you got to love ‘em. If you want to post your presidential team, feel free to. Where in this thread does it say you can’t post YOUR team? Other SMARTER members haven’t had any problem voicing their opinion on their choices.

McCain is basically a Dem; he nearly ran with Kerry last time. He and Kerry couldn’t work out the timing and some of the issues. But make no mistake...McCain is a Rockefeller Republican, which means...he’s a New Deal Dem.
Don’t be fooled.

We will see how long you last posting vanities right off the bat.

Let me state this clearly. I am vehement in my opposition to Mclame. But, what are we conservatives going to do in November if he is the nominee? Are we going to sit home and let either socialist on the other side put the final nail in the coffin of this country? I’m afraid if they get in with a democrap congress, we are done, stick a fork in it, done! Maybe, just maybe, Mclame could be nudged to the right, but we will fall into the abyss with either the Hildebeast or Obama. I implore my fellow conservatives to bite the bullet and vote for Mclame if he is the nominee. I really don’t think this country can afford to wait until next election to “fix” it. In that time we could get one or more ACLU type justices to the Supreme Court and be screwed for another generation. Am I wrong in this scenario? I would like to hear opposing views and tell me why we should let what I consider a socialist/communist takeover finish this country as we know it. At least Mclame possibly would be preferable.

What conservative governors can we look to that can lead us out of this nightmare? I don’t see anyone in Washington to do it. We need some movement leaders.

C & D would be acceptable. If McCain gets the nod I’ll vote for Paul.
