Ya, D, though C wasn’t bad. But option A is from Hell.

There isn’t a McCain ticket I’d vote for with him at the top.

I’d go with D, although I’d much prefer Thompson and Romney to switch positions.
B is barf alert, A is MEGA BARF ALERT, and C...Tancredo’s rant against Miami really bugged me. He alienated a lot of Cuban-Americans (who tend to vote Republican) with that one. If anything happened to Romney...I don’t even want to think about that.

Duncan Hunter - Fred Thompson so we could get Hunter-Thompson.

First, tell me why you joined FR to post a meaningless vanity thread, and then maybe I’ll tell you my opinion.

D is nice but only a pipe dream at this stage. A is a total disaster. The others aren’t worth discussing. I don’t know if I can vote for McCain even against Hillary. His infamous temper and general mental health are huge questions on my mind. The running mate will be a major factor especially given his advanced age.

D. I am not voting R if McCain is the nominee. I never thought I would say it and have always been irritated when others have refused to vote party line in a presidential election. I will never be able to bring myself to do it.

May as well give us some other options:
E) McCain / a crack psychotherapist with a bagful of sedatives
F) McCain / anyone McCain is seriously allergic to
G) John Bolton / pit bull
H) Tom Delay / anyone the press really hates
I) Any two politically incorrect people
J) None of the above

D only. In fact, Romney would be very smart to get with Thompson and convince him to come on board so that the Romney/Thompson ads could start running prior to Super Tuesday.
