And attendance at Star Trek Conventions.

How does it feel to have your guy spend millions out of his own pocket with nothing to show for it? I'm glad McCain is whupping Romney's ass.

And every real conservative had to appreciate Paul stating clearly in the midst of the last GOP panderfest ... er, debate ... that it is not the job of a President to run the economy.

Sadly, few Americans - and even most in Republican party - are opposed (even theoretically) to the Keynesian orthodoxy.

Today is Dr. and Mrs. Ron Paul's 51st wedding anniversary.

Happy Anniversary Dr. and Mrs. Paul!

What a wonderful witnesses you are to the sanctity and indissolubility of marriage!

What do they say about a fool and his money?
Or the departed Fred Thompson, who collected $8.9 million and spent $13.9 million.

?

Yea I know One of the big flops of the year. But I doubt people are still sending money. (1) He was smart enough to get out when he saw he was beat. (2) His supporters were smart enough to quit sending money to a lost cause. Neither of these thing can be said for Ron Paul or his supporters.

So Roe-v.-Wade-was-a-good-decision-I-support-the-assault-weapons-ban-the-government-needs-to-mandate-people-buy-health-insurance Romney is more conservative than Paul?!? Beam me up.

But see, in the past few years Romney has changed his mind sincerely on abortion, capital gains taxes, campaign finance reform, the minimum wage, Ronald Reagan, gays in the military (that's just off the top of my head)...

What the heck are you talking about? Ron Paul is the most pro-American of all the candidates and is advocating the most conservative policies of any of them by a long shot.

Cutting taxes, cutting spending, cutting federal regulation, and leaving people the hell alone: That’s anti-American? Wow.

Another maverick Texan gathered supporters by the thousands not so long ago. Ross Perot was successful, glib, and entertaining. He garnered 15% of the vote and swung a national election to a young turk from Arkansas, Bill Clinton.

This says a lot of things, some random thoughts

1) his message, whether it is on domestic policy (where I agree with many but not all of his views) or foreign policy (where I disagree), is resonating with voters. He is the only serious candidate attacking globalist views on trade, for example. Besides his comments, Free Trade is not open to debate this election
2) I also see this as an interesting test of the media’s power to influence primary elections. If they gave Ron Paul half the positive coverage they have given, say, Obama, Clinton, or McCain, where would he have polled in the primaries?

Does anybody actually confirm these numbers? Don’t they come from information provided to the election officials by the campaigns themselves.

Source was candidates required filing with FEC 1/31/08 for 2008 4th quarter fund-raising.

... that it is not the job of a President to run the economy.

I believe a dusty old document bears out this truth.

I would vote for RP to thumb my nose at the rest of the pack, and to let the Republocrats know they need to move back to the right HARD ...

I applaud his effort to get folks talking about core conservative issues and not who can promise the most handouts.

In reality that is what this is all about as far as I am concerned. Ron Paul is not very presidential and lacks the refinement and speaking ability of a big time politician, which limits his ultimate ability to attract votes from your typical drooling American.

There is only a tiny chance that Ron Paul could ever get the nomination, but his campaign does serve the purpose of letting the RINOs know what we expect out of them. Republican no more until they clean up their act. I am really hoping that his support will send a strong message to Washington, and I pray it encourages the younger up and coming politicians to take a stand and fight for this country.

A conspiracy behind every tree and there is always someone else to blame - YA Da Ya Da Ya Da

Ron Paul is not presidential material and all the fundraising in the world (from democrats and non-citizens among others ???) will not make him so.

Seriously, do we know:

How much came from Dems?

How much came from Islamists?

They have to be his most numerous supporters. HAVE to be.

Then you will love a McCain, Hillary or Obama presidency. It is what you have been working toward from the beginning.

The Federal Election Commission website gives the ability to query or ‘drill down’ to individual donor for any candidate so go for it.

But he recognizes that some -- like eliminating the IRS, and returning all funding of education to the states -- are unlikely to be achieved as president. So he said he’d focus on the one area a president has more leverage -- foreign policy...“Very simply, we can come up with a program of saying mind our own business, bring our troops home....

I guess that's Paul's "kill the military first" approach.
