Paul has an awesome on the ground game, folks who have never bothered with politics before are now interested in a 72 yr old bimetallic advocate who has promised not only to abolish the IRS, but to eliminate several cabinet positions.

I would vote for RP to thumb my nose at the rest of the pack, and to let the Republocrats know they need to move back to the right HARD, but McCain is in danger of taking my home state and so I must vote for the rival most likely to defeat him. I will probably vote for Huckabee, since he has the best shot at surpassing McQueeg in my state of Oklahoma.
RP should run as an independent, though, since this election and the Republican Party are in such disarray. I applaud his effort to get folks talking about core conservative issues and not who can promise the most handouts.
