After Super Tuesday, the delegate count could easily be McCain 614, Romney 400.
With 1100 needed to win, and the anti-McCain surge happening, this is far from over.

He has to keep up the positive spin, but this thing is so over on Wednesday morning.

Thanks are due to Mitt and his supporters for at least trying to slow the lemming-like rush to McCain. He’s down a touchdown with two minutes left and McCain still has the ball, but he isn’t giving up.

In view of the mileage on his opponent, Romney has not choice but to stay in ‘til the very end.

A vote for McCain is a vote for the second coming of Lyndon Johnson (father of "The Great Society.") Wouldn't your rather have someone who at least
might actually be a Republican to choose from next November?
The probability is that McCain will lose the general election. There are tens of millions of conservaties who will not vote for him. His nomination will probably destroy the Republican Party. And if he actually wins the general election, the destruction of the GOP will be a certainty, since the coalition will be irrevocably split asunder.

If Mitt can survive Super Tuesday there are some big states left including Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. He needs to win most of the caucus states on Tuesday where his money and organizational advantages will help greatly, and pick off delegates from some of the big states such as California where there are no winner take all scenarios. Yeah, it’s going to be an uphill fight for Romney, but he will probably survive with enough delegates on Tuesday to fight on.

Texas and Ohio have their primaries March 4. I expect Romney to carry Texas; Huckabee will come in 2nd and Johnnie Mac in 3rd.
Just you wait and see.

I don't know if "fight" is the correct word. Maybe "spend" is a better one.
At least Romney won't have to worry about the major source of his campaign cash drying up, unless he's heavily into home mortgages.

"I think one of the dynamics that changed is that conservative Republican and mainstream Republicans, all over the country, in the last 48 hours or so, have concentrated on the prospect of Senator McCain being our nominee and are saying, `That's not the direction we want to go,'" Romney said.It seems that Romney, or his staff, have been reading Free Republic.

Boy this is really going to tick off the media. They have hit him with everything they have and he just won't go down for them. Mort Kondrake has told him it's time to pack it in and wait till 2012.
I'm hoping he has seen some good news in a few polls. Sending him another donation in the morning. Go Mitt.

“While Romney has lost major head-to-head contests against McCain in New Hampshire, South Carolina and Florida,”
That’s not true. Huckabee’s big head was stuck in there, too. If it weren’t for Huckabee, Mitt Romney would kick McCain fanny.
McCain had the endorsement of the two liberal Republican senators from Maine. Another reason to dislike the man.
Go, Mitt!!!
