Hard core politics and their strategy worked.

It is out in the open now, McCain and Huckabee are definitely tag teaming Romney to deny him success wherever the two of them together can do so.

That is the reality of this tough political contest and Romney will have to fight accordingly.

One potential positive for him is that most conservatives do not like the stink of backroom politics and manipulation of the vote. It may backfie on the McCain/Huckabee express...I hope it does starting today.

You betcha! I was still struggling with how I would vote until this happened. After watching this machine in operation, I marched down and punched 'Mitt' as a vote AGAINST these slimebags.

Yes. I am glad it is out in the open. In a way that is the silver lining in this loss.

No more denying that the two of them are in bed together.

They aren't denying Romney anything. This is how politics works. Romney is a bridge burner and he is reaping the rewards of that.

Your positive suggestion ignores the fact that many many conservatives don't like Romney and won't vote for him no matter what. There are many who agree with you, but you are not everyone. The thing with bridge burners is that they end up with nobody. Same goes for opportunists. In my view, Romney is both.

That vote appears to me to be an example of the number of Republicans who don't want Romney no matter what. You left them out of your theory.

BTW, keep in mind this wasn’t done by the candidates. It was done by voters who don’t like Romney.

It is beginning. My folks are Born Again Christians, word is out between people at their church about Huck and McCain.

My parents said this is the 1st year they will not vote GOP since they could vote if McCain-Huck is the candidates.

They do not appreciate how they are being gamed.
